BVEC

Services

BVEC will provide:
  • Access to a BVEC teacher within School District 54 (Bulkley Valley)
  • Teachers will work with parents and students to design an educational program uniquely suited to each student enrolled in BVEC, in accordance with Ministry of Education guidelines
  • Regular assessment and Learning Summaries
  • Ministry and District approved educational resources for courses
  • Courses that meet the BC Curriculum Competencies and Big Ideas (see: https://curriculum.gov.bc.ca/)
  • Access to Microsoft Office 365 and other supplementary educational software and computer programs as needed for course work
  • Standardized testing (FSA, Graduation Literacy and Numeracy Assessments)
  • Some financial support for educational services and resources provided by a third party (up to $300 per semester, $600 for the year) for full time students actively working
  • Opportunities for students to participate in extra-curricular activities, concerts and special events at your neighbourhood school
  • Textbook, classroom resources and the use of the library at neighbourhood schools if needed
